VIDEO OF EARLY MORNING STRUCTURE FIRE Click link below to view video of structure fire on March 8, 2009. This call was recieved at 0525. One firefighter and one civilian were injured during this early morning blaze. An early moring fire (apparently starting in the steeple) of the First Christian Church, located at 430 Cleveland Ave. SW, built in 1905, The first alarm came in at 04:12, and when first-in units arrived, the entire steeple was fully involved. All Canton engines (except one), ladders, and 70 firemen were at the scene for over eight hours. The building was scheduled for demolition as part of the "Newmarket downtown renewal project." Two firemen; Fred Hayes and David Akers were slightly injured during the fire, but released from Aultman Hospital. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrAupFjaOvM&NR=1
