| It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired Captain Michael Horn. |
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired Captain Michael Horn. Captain Horn passed away on January 17th, 2021 after a brief battle with illness. Mike was hired by The City of Canton on April 24,1989 and was promoted to the rank of Captain on April, 13th 2002. Prior to being hired with CFD, he served in the United States Air Force.

Please help us congratulate Scott Winkhart on his appointment to President of the Canton Professional Firefighter's Local 249. Scott is a 24 year veteran of the fire service and brings along a plethora of experience and knowledge with him. Scott began his career in Bethlehem Twp. as a volunteer firefighter while he attended college for business, marketing and accounting.

Vic George form the Canton Police Department is working with a representative of Humana to establish a supplemental health care plan for retired police and fire members. This plan will only be available to those 65 or older. Humana has recently provided a similar plan to Hoover Co. retirees to cover the additional costs to their members that are Medicare eligible.

| Tentative Agreement Vote |
The tentative agreement has been posted at all stations and all Exective Board members have a copy. Please review. We will be discussing 3 ways, shift meetings, union meetings on 2/12/14 and 2/13/14 and a special meeting on Tuesday 2/18/14 at 1900 hrs at City Hall. After the special meeting we will be voting on the agreement.

| 2007 MDA Golf Outing |
I hope everyone had a great time at this year's MDA Golf Outing, where we raised a record $4000.00 dollars for the MDA. I would like to thank Eric Dyrlund for taking alot of his personal time to organize a wonderful golf outing. Congratulations Eric, you did a great job.
